What almost every city has in common
- Curb only. City crews pick up from the curb or parkway. You have to get everything out there yourself.
- Construction debris is out. Most cities will not take remodel debris, and several also refuse carpet, fencing, tile or concrete.
- Timing rules are enforced. Putting items out too early or too big can get a pile tagged, billed extra or cited, depending on the city.
- Homes, not businesses. City bulk pickup is for residents. Businesses and, in some cities, apartments are not covered.
When it makes sense to hire a hauler instead
- You cannot wait for your collection week
- The items are inside the house, upstairs or in the attic
- You have more than your city's limit, like a full garage or house
- It is something the city will not take, such as remodel debris or a refrigerator
We price by how much space your items take up in our trailer, and you get the price before we lift anything. Pickups start at $150 for a minimum load, and a full trailer runs $700 to $900. See our full pricing.
